In Loving Memory of Hye-Ryeong Kim

Thank you for viewing the Hye-Ryeong Kim Memorial Foundation website.

The Hye-Ryeong Kim Memorial Foundation was created in 2011 to honor the memory of Hye-Ryeong Kim, an amazing person who genuinely cared about other people. She served her community for many years with enthusiasm and dignity.

Hye-Ryeong Kim was always very humble, despite her numerous academic achievements and professional accomplishments. She earned her B.A. at Wellesley College and her M.S. at Harvard University. Professionally, she held very senior positions at several Silicon Valley-based companies before transitioning to personal financial planning at Transamerica Financial Advisors.

Hye-Ryeong was married to Jae-Hak Ko in 1982. Their son Andrew was born in 1984 and their daughter Kristine was born in 1986.

The entire family joined Korean Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in 1998, where Hye-Ryeong was a very active member.

The Hye-Ryeong Kim Memorial Foundation awards annual $5,000 scholarships based on community service and academic excellence.  She always placed a great emphasis on community service and education, and this foundation was established to honor her life.
